Extreme Makeover: Jewelry Edition

While in the process of moving into my new home I came across a few pieces of jewelry that belonged in the Goodwill box. I looked at them closely to try to come up with anyway I could make them usable again.
This is what I came up with:

Step 1: Begin with your selected piece of jewelry and then cut two strips of whatever fabric or ribbon you so choose. The cutting does not have to be perfect.

Step 2: Take out your trusted hot glue gun and put a dab of glue on the backside of the earring. Stick one  end of the first strip to that spot.

Step 3: Begin wrapping the fabric tightly around the earring, moving in forward in one direction.

Step 4: Once you've reached the spot where you began put another spot of glue in the same location as the first time you glued. Cut off any remaining fabric. Repeat these steps for the second earring.

This is also a great project for all those old "live strong" type rubber bracelets.

Repeat the same steps used for the earrings on the bracelet.

I added a box-fold flower to mine to jazz it up a little. (See http://moecraftsplease.blogspot.com/2011/09/felt-flower-fridge.html for directions on how to make these flowers)

Have fun!
